About Rebecca

Rebecca Rand was born in Danbury, Connecticut and raised in Rochester, New York. Since a very young age, Rebecca has been performing professionally with a multitude of regional theatre companies throughout the Greater Rochester area. Her first role was in A Christmas Carol at Geva Theatre Center at the ripe age of five. Since then, her love for performing has only grown.
Rebecca continued to perform in theatrical productions throughout her High School career. She was blessed with opportunities to perform in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as well as A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Geva Theatre Center, earning her Equity Membership Certification.
Rebecca acted as music director of The Kent Clarks, an a cappella group on Kent State University's campus, for three consecutive semesters. During her time with the Clarks, Rebecca had the honor to perform with the group live on the Today Show and at a rally for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
While at Kent State, Rebecca has had opportunities to tackle some of the most challenging roles in theater. She played Jo March in Little Women; Daisy Hilton in Side Show; Cinderella in Into the Woods; Lois Lane/Bianca in Kiss Me Kate and Elma in Bus Stop. Rebecca is a member of the Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society.
In 2016, Rebecca had the thrilling experience of performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, in Edinburgh, Scotland with Kent State’s Transforum Theater. The group performed an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.
Apart from performing, Rebecca fills her free time with her love of hedgehogs, her adventures in maintaining a gluten free lifestyle and lots of seltzer water.
